Mitochondrial and regenerative medicine
Mitochondria are the power stations of each cell in our body.
They regulate metabolism- and energy-activity. The more power a cell has to produce, the more mitochondria it contains. Heart muscle cells contain the most of them.
If these power stations are restricted or limited in their function, body cells can’t work correctly anymore. The result can be lack of muscular power or sugarmetabolism for example. All chronic diseases are associated with malfunctioning mitochondria, so bettering their function can improve the disease state. There are several factors which can have an influence on mitochondrial function:
- Stress
- Depression, trauma
- Lack of nutrients (Vitamins, minerals, Amino acids…)
- Imbalance of the intestine
- Hormone imbalances (sexual-, stress- or thyroid hormones for example)
- Heavy metal pollution
- And so on
Possible Symptoms could include
- Chronic fatigue
- Weak muscles
- Lower resilience
- Cardiac insufficiency
- Autoimmune diseases
- Skin diseases
- Rheumatic diseases
- Diabetes Type 2
Mitochondrial medicine is causal medicine. Searching for the cause(s) may require several examinations to be made to lead to an individual tailored therapy. We begin with an one hour analysis in my office. Please bring any previously obtained laboratory results with you.
